Darlene Hildebrandt is the founder of Digital Photo Mentor, where she teaches photo editing through structured online courses on Luminar Neo, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and HDR. She also runs a private community for live editing sessions and peer feedback. After 37 years as a photographer and 15 as an educator, she represented Canada in the 2025 World Photographic Cup in the Reportage category. I find Luminar Neo takes my images to a level that I can't achieve with Lightroom alone. It's fun and easy to use. I use Luminar as a plugin for Lightroom Classic because there are things that Luminar can do that Lightroom can’t. Without Luminar Neo, I'd have to use Photoshop, which takes longer and is more difficult and complicated. If you are brand new to photo editing, Luminar Neo is easier to use than Lightroom or Photoshop. I recommend it to all my students.
