Acceptable Use Policy

At Skylum, we are committed to building a creative and safe environment where users can share, showcase, and explore Content responsibly. This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules and standards that apply when using Skylum Products.

The purpose of this Policy is to protect our community from harmful, unlawful, or abusive behavior, ensure that Content shared on our platforms is safe, respectful, and authentic and maintain compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and industry best practices.

By accessing or using Skylum Products, you agree to comply with this Policy. Violations of this Policy may result in account restrictions, suspension, or other appropriate actions.

For the purposes of this Policy, “Content” means any material submitted, uploaded, or otherwise provided by the user to Skylum Products (“Input”), including but not limited to images, text, prompts, parameters (such as style or aspect ratio), and any material generated by the Skylum Products in response to such Input, including images, text, effects, vector graphics, or other media.

Unless otherwise stated in this Policy, all capitalized terms shall have the meanings assigned to them in Skylum End User License Agreement and Terms of Use.

Copyright Compliance

• You must only submit or publish content that you own or have the legal right to use. This includes all media uploaded to or generated using Skyum Products.
• Do not upload or use copyrighted material without proper authorization or licenses.

Misleading or Fake Content

• Impersonation is prohibited. Do not create accounts pretending to be another person, organization, or brand.
• Deceptive or AI-generated identities intended to mislead others are not allowed. This includes using AI tools to fabricate credentials, misrepresent affiliations, or otherwise deceive users.
• Creating enhanced images that intentionally misrepresent real events, people, or products in a misleading or harmful way is not permitted.
• Enhancing, modifying, or rebranding content that you do not own or have permission to use — with the intent to pass it off as your own — is strictly prohibited.

Adult Content

• Explicit material is prohibited. Pornography or sexually explicit images, videos, or text are not allowed within Skylum Products.
• Content that violates moral, ethical, or legal norms in applicable regions is forbidden.

Children Content

• Users may upload photos of children (including, but not limited to their own children, graduation photos, street photography, and similar images) for the purpose of using Skylum Products. However, the responsibility for having the necessary rights, permissions, or consent to use such photos rests entirely with the user.
• Any content that exploits or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material, grooming, or sexualization of children, is strictly prohibited.
• Violations will result in immediate suspension and may be reported to law enforcement.

Harmful Content (Suicide, Self-Harm, Crime, Terrorism)

• Content that encourages suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders is not allowed.
• Calls for harming others, committing crimes, or engaging in terrorism are strictly banned.
• Content that celebrates or trivializes death, injury, or violent acts is not permitted.

Harassment and Aggressive Behavior

• Personal attacks, insults, and targeted harassment are strictly forbidden.
• Users may not threaten violence, stalk, or encourage others to intimidate someone.
• Discrimination, slurs, or derogatory language based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal trait is prohibited.

Malware and Hacking

• Uploading or sharing viruses, spyware, ransomware, or other harmful code is forbidden.
• Attempts to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data are strictly prohibited.
• Activities that overload or interfere with the Products’s normal functioning are not allowed.

Privacy

• Do not attempt to access, collect, store, share, modify or perform any other actions with personal information of other users without their explicit consent.
• Publishing personal data to shame, harass, or endanger others is prohibited.
• Any activity using Skylum Products that violates applicable privacy or data protection regulations is prohibited.
• Dissemination of confidential documents, private communications, or any personal information of individuals without their permission is forbidden.

Skylum Products’ Misuse

• Users who are suspended or banned may not create new accounts to avoid enforcement.
• Using bots or scripts to manipulate Skylum Products’ features is prohibited.
• Features may not be misused in ways that disrupt normal community interaction or system stability.
• Any behavior that harms the safety, trust, or proper functioning of Skylum Products may be treated as a violation, even if not explicitly listed above.
• You may not use Skylum Products for any activity that breaks the law.

Skylum reserves the right to review, investigate, and enforce compliance with this Policy. This may include: investigating any suspected violations of this Policy or misuse of Skylum Products and taking action against accounts that engage in prohibited activity, including suspension or termination.

We may also report activity that appears unlawful to law enforcement, regulators, or other appropriate third parties.
